Brazilian Visitor: Professor Thereza Soares (in the middle of the photo) visited the lab in May 2013
Prof. Thereza Soares from Cidade Universitária 50740-560, Recife, PE, Brazil visited the lab in May 2013. The visit is along the lines of existing collaboration on modeling electrostatic potential in complex biological membranes. The project involves developing new tools to be incorporated in DelPhi package and understanding the interplay between lipid charged groups and mobile ions penetrating inside the membrane. Of particular interest is developing methodology for calculating Zeta-potential and the potential distribution inside the membrane.
